This expansion kit adds additional weight plates that slide into your existing dumbbell handle and frame.

Once installed, your dumbbells function exactly the same just with a higher weight range.

Weight plates will come nested - separate the 2 sets of plates
Insert the new plates into the open slots, ensure the color rails are on top when installing.
Use the selector pin to choose your weight

Can I purchase the Sport EXP Stage 1?

No. The Sport EXP Stage 1 has been discontinued since 2024. We only carry the Sport EXP Expansion kits.

Does the Sport EXP Stage 2 work with the Sport 50?

No. The Sport 50 is a non‑expandable version of the Sport EXP and does not have the required handle slots for expansion plates, meaning the Stage 2 plates cannot be attached.

Does the Sport EXP Stage 2 work with the Sport 24?

No. The Sport 24 is non‑expandable and does not have the slots left on the handle that are required for expansion plates, meaning the Stage 2 plates cannot be attached.

Are expansion kits sold in pairs?

Yes. When an expansion kit is purchased, there are enough weight plates included to expand both dumbbells.

What does “EXP” mean on this set?

“EXP” stands for Expandable.

Does the Sport EXP Stage 1 set have to be purchased in order to use the Sport EXP Stage 2 kit?

Yes. The Sport EXP Stage 1 would need be owned or purchased before the Sport EXP Stage 2 kit will work.

Does the Sport EXP Stage 2 kit work with the PowerBlock EXP Stage 1 set?

Yes. Although the Sport EXP and PowerBlock EXP are different colors, their expansion kits are compatible.
